Something that I found is a lot of fun while out hiking is something called GeoCaching, check it out on google. I use the MapSource Roads & Recreation CD from Garmin and it has a lot of the back ro...

GPS usage

I have a Garmin III+ and just love it. I have a small write up on why I chose it over the others on my website (http://www.delpiere.com/Hobbies/Hobbies.htm) Have a look under Snowmobiling, as well as GPS. Both areas talk about the GPS. The GPS III+ is no longer available new from Garmin, it has been...

Goggles

As far as goggles go, Scott makes a pretty decent one, however, about 5 years ago I picked up a pair of Briko goggles and was amazed at how well they fit, even with wearing a ski helmet. Goggles are goggles, it is the color of the le...

???? SAFER RIDING,DAY?,OR NIGHT?

If you want it by the numbers.... Most fatalities occur at night, due to poor visibility or riding too fast for conditions. Alchol also has a large contributing factor to this as well. Guess that is why the numbers always spike between 10PM & 3AM. Many states publish reports on snowmobile fatalities...

Well we dicided this weekend to use Cadillac as our lodging point, and figured we could drive from there to where the snow was. Iw was a pretty good decision. The Trails right around Cadillac were pretty beaten up, as always, whith the amount of traffic that was on them. Nothing unusual. Once you go...
