es, as seen on Facebook, the track took a hit. The snow was a blessing in disguise for us. The local clubs have been out grooming where the downed trees and branches have allowed them to, which will let all the trail riders ride in. The snow was groomed on the track and the tractor and spreader were out for hours yesterday getting the base back. There was still ice left with some bad spots towards the outside. We let the volunteers make the call about racing next weekend and they said they will do what it takes.

Something everyone should know:

Our track crew is second to NONE! Look at the last two years and again this year. These people are dedicated beyond belief. What other organization would build a track SEVEN times to try and get a race in. These guys deserve our unwavering support and thanks for what they are doing. The entire Boonville board is a dedicated group. The Boonville Snow Festival II is a non profit organization that relies on volunteers and sponsors to put this show on. We return the gate proceeds to the racers in the form of purse money, spend our money locally with the hardware stores, fuel companies, restaurants, advertising companies and so on. We make donations to the ambulance crew and snowmobile clubs as we can. We are in our third year with no additional sponsorship's because we still owe our sponsors their advertising from two years ago. We plan on fulfilling that agreement this year.

Please let all the people you know that we need spectators to come out and support this race. We are working on parking and if they have to walk a little, please do so with a smile and gratitude to the countless hours spent by this organization to make the race a success.

Just left the meeting and the news is not good. We met at the track and turn 3 and 4 are not going to recover with the weather we are experiencing - even if we waited another week. The nail in the coffin was last night, the temp never got down to the teens as predicted. It was in the upper twenties.

That being said, our great group of volunteers, board members and sponsors are ready to do it again next year. We have POSTPONED until February 1-3, 2019.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Thanks to everyone who has helped us with this race and thanks to all those who support our efforts.
