I-500 winner Guess (Pro-600)

1. Dyrdahl -experience, determination and no fear.
2. Ekre -wide open and more mature than when he last ran XC full time.
3. Bunke -wiley, races with his head, knows when to back off.
4. Dick - experience, and equipment will be dialed.
5. Christensen- wide open and fluid.

Probably the hardest race to pick a winner because of all the variables. Cream rises to the top though. I like these picks as long as nobody turns their sled into shrapnel or grenades.

I-500 update:

It was cold and windy - tomorrow is supposed to be just cold. Dick burned down and Arneson wrecked, fracturing two vertebrae. Complete 1st day results are posted here: http://www.usccracing.com/results08/i500friday.php

Can I redo my picks? LOL

1. Dyrdahl is so on it as usual.
2. Ekre is currently running fourth even though he lost his brake lever.
3. Bunke had sled problems that dropped him to 12th.
4. Dick DNF
5. Christensen didn't even run the 500 for some reason.

With the exception of Dyrdahl I'm not looking to good, but that's XC I guess.

OK, I have the tally, though I think you've already figured it out. It was a tough week for pretty much everyone. For the first time, there were people with goose eggs.

CanadianCrossCountry nailed two positions spot-on, Dyrdahl and Davis, to give him 10 points and the win.

So, CCC, pm or e-mail me your mailing address for your prize.

Here's the spread:
10 points = CanadianCrossCountry
8 points = mathwich, spencer
5 points = AndyS, ditchbanger65, racerX8
4 points = adam mach, morkenracing93
3 points = rocket175
0 points = prosno, xcphazer137
