2001 ZR800

I own a 2001 ZR800, the previous owner had the sled set up for grass drags as far as I can tell, the sled currently runs to about 6800 RPM and about 65 mph and that is it, where do I start to find out why it stops at that point? I have rebuilt the primary clutch, it has a D&D primary and secondary clutches as well. Help?

Have you pulled the chain case apart? Need to verify what your final ratio is. It should tach out just over 7100 so check your power valves. They should move freely when removed. Use a dremel with the sand paper disc and carb cleaner to clean them up. That will get you started. What is the engagement point of the clutch's?
