Arctic Cat chain case oil.

Postby sabercat700lx » November 8th, 2010, 6:21 am

I recently purchased a 05'Sabercat 700lx. The sled has quite a few miles on it but is in excellent condition. I was told to change the chaincase oil. The clutch guard says it has the ACT drive. In the owners manual the picture matches the other chaincase not the ACT case. When I removed the drain and fill plugs no oil came out. The dipstick shows full. How do I change that fluid, and should I? Also, am I going to have to disassemble the whole chaincase cover to refill?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

I have found quite often that from the factory the drain hole was plugged with silicone. Pull the plug and run a small screwdriver in the hole and I'll bet it will drain for you.
